World of Warcraft Cosplayer Sia, France

The second to welcome us the Fall season will be one of the greatest World of Warcraft cosplayers who has always been outstanding in her field. a magnificent french cosplayer from the south of France, Montpellier.

I’ve met her personally in MadeInAsia convention this year, she was with her beautiful “Mercy” cosplay attire, I was embedded with her finesse and style of cosplaying.  Viewing her profile will make you blown away, for her aliveness in different organizations and communities.

Discovering Cosplay

I discovered cosplay when I went to different Con near Paris, attended that convention every year. Surprised by the skills of all the Cosplayers. I always thought that I would never be able to make something like that.

Back when I was 21 years old, I started making my Cosplay costume. I didn’t want to do this alone, so a friend of mine came with me.

And that’s how it started!

First convention as a Cosplayer

The 1st convention was the biggest one in France, JapanExpo Paris. I was so stressed and terrified, as soon as someone asked me for a photo I felt so tiny near bigger cosplayers.

But that was an experience that changed me for life! The more I did conventions, the more I felt comfy and relax near cameras.

Costume/Gear/Props/Armor Making

My first sewed costume was Ahri from League Of Legends. But I didn’t make it alone. My mom helps me a lot and she still helps me sometimes.

The part that I like the most is when I’m crafting a cosplay, but I did some like Leone from Akame Ga Kill, Inori from Guilty Crown, Akali crimson and Elise Victorious from League Of Legends.

But the cosplay costume I love the most for now DeathWing one, designed by Zach Fischer from World Of Warcraft. Because it has lots of armor and I also love my Kindred costume, also by Zach, it taught me to make some electronic things.

What does a Cosplayer mean to you?

Cosplay is an art and a way to meet people, because of it I’ve met some great people and a best friend thanks to it. It’s always a pleasure to see people who I love in conventions. But that’s also a way for me to being proud of myself. I’ve never trusted in myself, but when I see my community encouraging me it helps me a lot.

Worst Experience

I don’t have kind of worst experience… Just a few things that people told me on social media when I started cosplay like “OMG is that a girl?!”. But I didn’t stop cosplaying because of people like this.

I get to know other cosplayers, friends now thanks to conventions and because we were cosplaying characters from the same game! Like Italina Cosplay my duo! I’m always cosplaying with her, she taught me everything I know about cosplay when I was starting.

Your Greatest Achievement

My biggest achievement so far is when the company that manages the video game that I prefer, League of Legends, contacted me. One of my best experience thanks to them, I couldn’t imagine for a second being invited by riot games.

I was an official cosplayer for the World Championship in 2015 and LCS summer split 2017. I felt so lucky being invited, seeing the pro players near me, being part of the staff of Riot games. Such a great experience!
