Reception

Finding the hotel was super smooth as I’ve mentioned in my last blog post. There was a parking area just 200-300 meters away from the La Tourย Brette. Which was a bit of a puzzle to find since the road sign was One Way, but anyhow we can get access to into it freely.

Arriving at the hotel’s reception we ringed the doorbell, and finally, someone came to welcome us. It is understandable that there might not be a person 24/7 in the reception since the owner also manages their restaurant located in the rez-de-chaussรฉe of the building.

The reception was simply filled with brochures, booklets and other important magazines containing information about the city and the beautiful places to visit in Normandy.

Hotel staff welcomed us very politely and gave us all the information we needed to know. Handed us our room key and we went to the room to leave our stuff.

Hotel’s Bar & Restaurant

Hotel and Restaurant

Planning for our day, we settled for lunch at the hotel’s restaurant before the famous visit to the Abbaye. The bar & restaurant looks pretty cool with its French-style allure.

French-style look

It was passed 1 o’clock when we arrived at the hotel. The restaurant was calm not too many people since it’s recommended to visit Le Mont St Michel early in the morning. We clearly ignored it cause we were on the mode Zen (means we do what we want) no obligation at all.

One of the best parts was when we were about to order for our lunch. I’ve found a page where indicated “Menu du jour” and it was definitely interesting. For an entrรฉe (apรฉritif), plat (main dish), and dessert we only pay less than 15 euros per head.

I also admired how the hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful for our stay. Through recommending our food to choose up to assisting us where to park our car when going to Mont Saint Michel.

I’m very glad that we followed their conseil (advice). We have saved, and at the same time, we bought some artisanal ‘sel de guerande’ products from the boutique that they have recommended.

Above is a 360 degrees view of the outdoor part of the hotel. There’s a rond point (a roundabout) with a fountain in the middle. It was unquestionably a nice view from our room.
