Il Palazzin Hotel Malta Review – 4 Night Stay in a 4 Star Hotel
Il Palazzin Hotel Malta one of the best-situated hotels in Qwara, Malta. The best feature that Il Palazzin hotel can offer is its location, one of the fact that it’s very close to everything. Including point of interests like St. Paul’s Bay, popular entertainment areas, and public transport.
I’ve found the Il Palazzin Hotel via Agoda, and it was at 15 percent off, so I grab it without any doubt. Looking at its profile a 4-star hotel Malta at an affordable price I didn’t think twice.
Disembarking our plane flew from Brussels, we directly went to the Car Rental space to fetch our car. Yes, we rented a car so we can fully explore Malta on our choice.
We were excited to arrive at our hotel, with too many hotels in Malta to choose to we’ve chosen one which situated outside the capital city of Valletta.

Getting to our Room
Arriving at the hotel was really easy, it was a quick drive from Luqa, Malta (the airport) to our hotel’s location. A 25-minute drive but at first look, I really thought it would take us more than an hour since the map of Malta looks big. I forgot that Malta is the world’s tenth smallest country.
After about half an hour, we’ve finally parked the car just in the residence area. Because the hotel’s parking area of the was fully occupied. We entered the reception and check-in, and after a few minutes, we were heading to our room.
The receptionist was very helpful and explained every information that we should know. One thing intrigued me was the buffet price of the restaurant. It was only 15 Euros for a Buffet imagine it wasn’t that expensive for a buffet.
Getting into our room was super exciting, with a decent size 19 m². We have a clothes rack, In-room safe box, desk, seating area, and, a sofa.
We also have a TV/plasma screen, a telephone, a Coffee/tea maker, and a Minibar fridge.
I really love the room’s simplicity. It has everything that we need so I’m pretty happy about it. The bed looks really nice, and comfortable. it’s cool to know that it has two outlets on both sides of the bed so we can both charge our phones and the laptop.
Noticing our room’s bathroom, Toiletries were complete. It wasn’t that bad either. I love the part that we have a bathtub instead of a regular shower area. The idea of giving us glasses to save water is really great.
Sometimes, when we stay in a hotel, we forgot to save water or electricity. But we should not forget wherever we go always try to help our nature.
View from the Terrace
Actually, we booked a Double Room with a Sea View, but unfortunately, the room wasn’t that high enough to see the full sea view. We can see more of the rooftop view of other buildings than that of the sea. Anyway, we can still see partly the sea from our terrace.
View from the window
I was so delighted to know that even if we don’t have a perfect sea view, we still have this magnificent outdoor pool view. I believe that it is one of the best views here in Palazzin Hotel Malta.
The Pool Area
The pool looks nice. I took two different photos. Actually, the first one was in the morning, and the other one late in the afternoon.
I felt bad that we didn’t have time to enjoy a dive in the pool. Our days were fully packed with tour schedules. Hopefully, next time when we get here again, we’ll get our pool time.
Honestly, in the morning when we went for breakfast the hotel’s restaurant didn’t shine that much. Maybe it was just me cause I’m still asleep when we get our morning buffet.
However, at night the restaurant looks majestic! I really love how it was sparkling. I was out of words to describe the feeling entering here.
The restaurant located just on the right side of the reception. You can go there for your breakfast and if you want for dinner as well. Do not forget to ask at the reception about the restaurant’s schedule.
On that season the restaurant was open in the morning till 11 am and open in the evening for dinner.
Our buffet breakfast was really great. It’s nice to see a bunch of choices for breakfast. There’s salads, cereals, bread, ham, juices, sausages, scrambled eggs, and a lot more.
We also availed the dinner buffet in this hotel for one night. It was after our tour in Gozo Island. Since we came back at night we figured out if we could dine at the hotel’s restaurant, and, a success it was open at that time!
The most thrilling part was the food. I was definitely in heaven at that time. I never thought that they would serve RICE! It was a whole new world for me, Palazzin Hotel just brought Asia to me. And I was truly satisfied!
So, believe it or not, it was a buffet for me cause I went up twice to fill my plate (haha). Oh, by the way, the food is excellent!
We finished our dinner with a petite dessert. It was a crumble cake, but since I ate too much, I just shared it with my hubby. And Oh, I forgot to mention, the first photo with the pasta is, of course, Hubby’s food.
To sum it all up, I would say I did love the experience staying at Palazzin Hotel Malta. It was probably one of the best stays in this country. I really did love exploring Malta, and I would really love to come back for sure.
From the Hotel service to hotel’s staffs, it was satisfactory. I could not say it was perfect cause there were some inconveniences. I haven’t told you about the moving/repairing/renovating process when we get in our hotel room.
But, all in all, I would say it’s an: 8.5/10
Tips to remember:
The Hotel is only 5 mins walk to the beach, there are lots of restaurants, bars along the beach.
Very close to the bus stop with a regular service to all location of the island – along with an hourly express bus to the airport (public transport route X3) which is 2 Euros/per person – ticket valid for 2 hours.
