Holiday Inn Milan Nord Zara Review – One of the Best Hotels in Milan
4-star design hotel Holiday Inn Milan Nord Zara is one of the IHG hotels that you can find in Milan, Italy, located in the core of the Lombardy industrial zone of Cinisello Balsamo, Monza, and Sesto San Giovanni. Near the highway junction between Cinisello and the A4 Turin-Venice highway.
It is 20 minutes away from Linate Airport, 15 minutes away from the Rho-Pero Fair, and just 15 minutes away from the Monza Race Circuit. 2.8 km away from the Train station (Sesto S. Giovanni Station)
Why am I mentioning all these locations? Because it’s actually a guide to everyone, who is traveling by their car throughout Italy. Like us (road trippers) we’ve chosen this hotel for various reasons.
First, the price, compared to other hotels that we were looking in Milan. Holiday Inn Nord Zara has one of the affordable prices from the rest. Yes!
Imagine, Milan center has expensive hotel rates per night starting from 80 euros. For our second reason? It’s not too far from our objective place, Jollibee fast food restaurant in Piazza Diaz Milan which is 25 minutes drive from Holiday Inn.

Arriving at the Holiday Inn
Exhausted from our more than 8 hours of the road trip, we finally reached our designated hotel. But, earlier in the afternoon, approximately 3:00 pm I called at the reception of the hotel to verify something.
I asked if the hotel can still accommodate us even if we arrived late in the evening. Due to our urge to wanting to visit Cinque Terre, we ended up arriving late to our reserved hotel.
At roughly 7:00 pm we were on our way to Northern part of Milan, however, we were stuck in the traffic jam. Fortunately, we were able to get out and drove directly and arrived at 7:30 pm and did our check-in at the hotel.
We pulled our car at the front side parking space of the hotel and directly went to the reception. Sadly, there was no one at the reception, we waited for about 10 minutes. And finally, the personnel came out busy with another client.
We waited patiently, and for about another minutes the receptionist is ready and assist us, gave us the key to our room, and explain some essential stuff about our reservation including the schedule of the buffet breakfast, Wi-Fi, and a lot more.
The Room
After receiving all the information that we needed to know, it’s time to go to our room. We chose a standard room, which is impressively spacious. Entering the room, was exciting, it has these bright lights, that make it looks cozy.
We had an air-conditioned Sound-insulated room with a minibar and laptop-compatible safes. We also have some comforters, desks, complimentary newspapers, and telephones.
In front of our bed is a 32-inch Flat-screen television comes with premium digital channels. Additionally, rooms include Electric kettle for coffee/tea makers, Wardrobe or closet, and blackout curtains.
Arranging our stuff in our hotel room, let’s not forget one of the most important things that we should check first before leaving for dinner. Since we have free Wi-Fi, it’s time for us to try if Holiday Inn Milan Nord Zara has it takes to impress its clients.
The result? Really excellent! The internet connection is superb. I can even play one of my online games using the hotel’s internet access. Let’s not forget to mention that Housekeeping is also offered on a daily basis, and an iron/ironing board can be requested.
In terms of Bathroom, it includes a bath and shower with a rainfall showerhead, a bidet, complimentary toiletries, and a hairdryer. I’ve also checked the tissue paper and the towels if everything were there and happy to know that everything is in order.
I’m super amazed at how organized and beautiful the room is. I can’t wait to test the bed, and the pillow’s comfort but before that, Hubby and I went out to eat our dinner at Jollibee.
Continental Buffet Breakfast
Continental Buffet Breakfast is served at the Hotel’s A4 Restaurant. A restaurant specializes in international serving Italian dishes, has a classic 1950s theme cuisine that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including a children’s menu.
The day after, we woke up early in the morning, a bit tired after all our activities from yesterday. We went to the reception hall, where the restaurant located for our morning breakfast.
I may not mention yet to everyone, but this is our second stay in this hotel. The first one was when we visited Lugano in Switzerland, where Hubby and I are satisfied with our stay, and that’s why we came back for the second time.
As expected, Holiday Inn Nord Zara’s buffet breakfast is undeniably abundant. They serve different sorts of bread, cereals, jams, juices, hams, fruits, desserts, and many more.
If you love to drink coffee or tea or any fresh fruit juice in the morning, you are lucky cause Holiday Inn serves all of these in their continental buffet breakfast. They also have warm dishes like fried bacon, beans, mushrooms, and hard-boiled egg.
My special recommendation for you would be a fresh salad, cheese, ham, some bread, and jam. I personally love their strawberry jam, ham with pistachio, bacon, and mushroom as well.
One of the amazing things that I’ve seen here in the restaurant is the fresh Honey that is still attached in this piece of square wood where you have to collect it by yourself using a spoon. It reminds me of the same thing in another Holiday Inn in Munich, Germany.

Hotel Holiday Inn Milan Nord Zara has evidently a lot of positive qualities that could make their clients satisfied. Apart from its location that some of the people think that it’s a disadvantage.
On the contrary, I find it very serene and peaceful as location, far from the busy traffic sound of the cars. However, having a car is definitely a must to get the most out of the positive features of the hotel.
