Exe Vienna Hotel is the best Hotel in town?

As part of the journey of travelers, we always make the best of our stay in a new city that we want to discover. Today I’m gonna show you my experience of staying one more 4 Star Hotel, not in Munich but in a Vienna Hotel this time.

For our quick stop in Munich, we spent an overnight in a 4 Star hotel of Holiday Inn. Afterwards, we continued our trip to Vienna to spend our 4 days and 3 nights. How was our hotel experience? Well, you’ll discover it in a while.

Exe Vienna Hotel

Exe Vienna Hotel is just a 5-minute walk (150 meters) from the Alserstrasse Underground Station. Located in the district of Hernals it is a great choice for travelers interested in monuments, architecture and old-town exploration.

Not just metro station but as well as the Tram line 44 that stops directly opposite the Exe Vienna Hotel and provides direct connections to the center of Vienna.

We arrived from our long haul drive from Munich, it was past 5 pm that we have finally entered our room. The hotel was easy to find, using the GPS it was more rapid than I thought.

Apparently, the hotel’s parking space wasn’t accessible that time cause of the continuous construction. So we had no choice but to park on the said parking and ask at the reception for an alternative.

Exe Vienna Hotel

Joyfully, the receptionist recommended us another parking space which is just 2 mins from the area. We felt relieved however it’s kinda bit disappointing that the Parking Area of the hotel isn’t available and it wasn’t even stated on the site.

Let’s get back to the hotel part, the receptionist was very kind. Actually, there were a group of tourists before us they were in a briefing session I guess (Spanish-speaking tourists) which I found myself as part of them when the receptionist started to speak in Spanish at me (haha) I might look and speak like them but I’m not part of that group.

The receptionist catered us her wonderful service, she explained everything from A to Z (Breakfast time, Wi-Fi connection, Swimming Pool access, public transportations nearby, city map etc.,) very helpful information indeed.

The Room

We took a Double Exclusive Room, it was not too big but not too small it was just enough for two people. A 20 m²  wide with Street view, equipped with a mini-bar, desk and In-room safe box.

In terms of entertainment it has a flat-screen TV Satellite/cable channels. Which I enjoyed much even if I don’t understand everything it says on the show (Disney films of course.)

The bathroom was also in good state, well cleaned and complimentary toiletries like comb, toothbrush, shower gel, shampoo etc., it has bathtub, hairdryer, toiletries, towels, and a closet.

As expected, the moment that we entered our room I directly checked out everything that it has. Then the important thing to do is check the Wi-Fi connection and the result? quite impressive this Vienna Hotel has a good internet connection.

Vienna Hotel Views

For those have chosen the rooms with street view, you’ll probably get this small terrace or else if you’re unlucky like us you’ll end up in another room even with a street view but with another room set-up.

our street view

But anyway this on this moment this doesn’t really count cause it was freaking cold outside. This is more interesting in summer surely. Apparently, since the hotel was full that time, they have given us this room with a nice view but the window is super high, it’s located up to my neck so I could only see this part.

The hotel has also a free access to the famous swimming pool area, there are so many clients who said that the main attraction of the hotel is their swimming pool.

For us we haven’t tried it for two reasons, it was super cold those days and tired from everyday tour thus, swimming would not be a good idea. And the second one? we didn’t bring our proper attires.

The Buffet

buffet

When it comes to Exe Vienna Hotel breakfast there’s no question to ask anymore. They have a large of varieties when it comes to entrée, cereals, bread, fruits, etc.

croissont

You can have not only continental breakfast principally but you can eat with their locally prepared food including fried rice, sausages, bacon, ham, and eggs almost like an English breakfast.

fruits     salads

There were also varieties of fresh fruits and as well as fresh vegetables for the salad. Personally, I like their style of the buffet. It was full of different dishes, drinks, and every basic thing that you need for a buffet.

my breakfast

Basically, this is our table for the buffet breakfast for two. As usual, I’m eating like a monster (haha) well I have to consume some bulky stuff to start the day.

I have paired it with my usual cappuccino coffee and I have also tried an orange juice which I found not really a real orange pressed one. The dining area was full it was difficult to get a coffee without queueing but all in all, it was a nice buffet.

The buffet breakfast served from 07:00 to 10:30 on weekdays, and from 07:30 to 11:00 on weekends and public holidays.
