Best Western Plus Hotel Mirabeau Lausanne is typically known for its luxurious, charming, cozy atmosphere, and when it comes giving a top rated hotel service to its clients, they are one of the bests. This hotel belongs to the world’s largest hotel family of Best Western Plus Hotels & Resorts.

According to Customer Alliance, Hotel Mirabeau Lausanne has been an excellent hotel so far. Garnering an average of 89 percent is such a highly rated 4-star hotel.

As I’ve researched on other sites, like TripAdvisor, Agoda, Booking, Expedia, etc., this hotel has undoubtedly received an overall high average rating.

With various factors to consider; hotel quality services, amenities, location, food, and others. Hotel Mirabeau Lausanne has definitely stood out from other hotels.

Commencing our Road Trip from Belgium down to Italy, we started our journey at Lausanne, Switzerland. We have stayed at one of the glamorous and fine hotel. Today, I will show you more about our stay and our experience staying here.

Hotel’s Information

The Best Western Hotel Mirabeau is a traditional four-star hotel, situated in the heart of Lausanne. Just within a short walk (400 meters) from the railway station, the commercial center (5 minutes walk), and the beautiful Lac Léman of Geneva.

The hotel features their reputed restaurant serving fine French cuisine and offers an excellent service. Terrace with shady chestnut trees is open during the summer months. It also has banquet and Event rooms.

Some of the great features of the hotel are: they have multilingual staff, foreign currency exchange, and babysitting services. Rooms have a remote-controlled cable television with CNN, mini-bar and an in-room safe. Finally, all customers are treated as VIP.

Reception

We have arrived late in the afternoon since it was our first day of the road trip. we were a bit exhausted but since the location of the hotel was easy to find we didn’t stress much. I have also researched some of the photos of the hotel via the internet to see its road location.

Entering the hotel, it was quiet and has this luxurious vibe because of its interior lighting. The waiting hall looks like one of those scenes in the movie with a relaxing ambiance.

Arriving at the reception, the receptionist gave us a warm welcome. The first thing we did was to ask about the parking area. And at last, we can park the car to the hotel’s private parking space.

The receptionist assisted and explained to us all the essential things that we should know. We also received 2 tickets to use public transportation for free in 24 hours.

Breakfast starts early in the morning, so it was perfect for us cause we have to leave early on the next day to continue our road trip to Italy. Finally, we brought our luggage to our room.

Hallway

I know all of you are excited to see our room, but for instantly, I’ll show you how beautiful and elegant the hallway to our room. The feeling of walking in the hallway was priceless, you’ll see paintings, statuettes, and other decorations make it super comfy to march in.

In addition, I also saw a big platter full of candies. I’m sure kids will love it here. It’s perfect for people who love candies and a short pause of sweets while walking in the hallway.

The Room

The most exciting part of staying at a hotel is to see one’s hotel room. I was super thrilled to see how refined it is. We have reserved a Junior Suite with Balcony and Lake View.

The moment we opened the door the shade of daylight welcomed us!

At first, I thought the fruits on the table were only just for decoration. But when my hubby touches it, he told me that they are real. There was also a small note from the manager saying a warm welcome to us (the guests).

There’s also a coffee machine, It was one of the highlight I guess, cause hubby and I are both coffee addict.

Entering the bedroom, it was impressive. As if I’m looking at a magical bed from Disney movies. It’s like a princess living in a magical world.

Our room has 36 m²/388 ft² with 1 king bed and a balcony/terrace with a gorgeous view of Lac Léman. As of Room facilities, we have 2 televisions one in the living and one in the room with cable channels.

A telephone, Safety Deposit Box, Minibar, study desk, a big closet, and a private bathroom with toiletries.

If you love to stay in a spacious and relaxing place the Junior Suite room is perfect for you. Sitting on that study desk, I also brought my laptop with me. Connected it with the hotel’s wi-fi and infaireness their wi-fi is super fast.

Private Bathroom

Private Bathroom is the extended space of the bedroom. The bathroom looks so fresh and clean. We have the complete toiletries including hairdryer, shower gels, shampoo & conditioner, shower cap, towels, slippers, and others.

I’m so grateful that we have a bathtub it’s so delightful. Another thing is we have a weighing scale. Amazing right? It’s pretty useful for those we maintaining their weight or those who’re in a diet while on vacation.

The View

The weather was intense in Lausanne, it was about less than 10 degrees. Going out to see the terrace was a bit challenging because of the weather. However, it was worth it to see the lake view even it was foggy.

At night, it was also freezing but I did go out in the terrace and it was amazing with the city lights and the moon.

The Restaurant

 

Best Western Plus Hotel Mirabeau Lausanne is known and praised by the locals. The restaurant features a menu of fine French cuisine and distinguished by its freshness.

Hotel’s reputed restaurant looks pretty superior and homey at the same time. I also notice the chimney and the logs, make you think that you’re in your house.

There’s a wine shelf in the corner, a veranda, and a bar at the entrance of the restaurant. Truly, the structure of this restaurant is unique and roomy. Normally, according to the hotel’s information, they have an open terrace/veranda but for now, they only open it for summer months.

Buffet Breakfast

I had a short night since we have to wake up early for our trip, it’s been a long day yesterday so early in the morning of the next day we are going to have our buffet breakfast.

But we have a nice sleep with our super comfortable bed. My hubby didn’t have a backache for the first time. It only shows that Best Western Plus Hotel Mirabeau Lausanne offers a high-quality and convenient bed to its clients.

It was around 6:30 am, and we went to the restaurant for breakfast. Before that, we packed up our things and get ready to leave after. We were lucky we were alone in the restaurant so had the opportunity to choose our table.

As expected the buffet was totally a 10 out of 10. With all the choices that you have from varied bread, fruits, jam, juices, salads, various sorts of fresh and cook food and even packed noodles they also have.

Regarding our choice of food, I have chosen salmon (with onion toppings and lemon), ratatouille, mushrooms, and egg. Usually, I eat sausages as well in every buffet breakfast but today, since there’s salmon I prefer to eat fish than sausage.

Other Information & Services

Best Western Plus Hotel Mirabeau Lausanne is offering free Wi-fi, Baby Sitting, Meeting Room, Room Service, Dry cleaning and Laundry Service, Conference, and you have to know that Pets are allowed on request.

Public parking is possible on site but you have to reserve it in advance and costs CHF 25 (25 Euros) per day.

The hotel is 45.8 km away from Annemasse Aerodrome Airport (QNJ) – France, and 64.2 km from Les Eplatures Airport (ZHV) – Switzerland. Public transportation: 410 meters (5 mins walk) Lausanne Railway Station and Renens Vd Train Station (4.9 km)

Convenience store: Migros – 290 m away and ATM – 170 m.

Verdict: 10/10 

Although we had a very short stay, I could say that it was an amazing experience to be in this fantastic hotel. From the hotel staff to hotel services it was top!

I would surely come back here to stay longer and explore the historic old town of Lausanne. Hopefully, soon. I would recommend you guys to stay here whenever you visit Lausanne because you will definitely enjoy it.
