WOW Cosplayer Inastes Tears
My name Laura, I’m 25 years old and now live in Bavaria, Germany. I started cosplaying in 2015.
I knew there was a thing as cosplay when I got into anime and manga but really discovered cosplay through friends who dragged me to a convention in 2014.
After seeing so many cool armors there I really wanted to build one myself and I did.
My first convention was Connichi 2015 in Germany. It was horrible. I’m surrounded by people the whole time, couldn’t talk to anybody and just wanted to leave.
But after joining up with some other cosplayers it became really funny.
I don’t sew I do worbla!
Definition of Cosplayer
Personally, I don’t care about the community at all and think cosplay is turning into a pretty bad and cheap sector at the moment considering all the half-naked or even naked patreon ‘geeks’ who call themselves cosplayers.
For me, it is mainly about creating and having fun and of course inspiring others to do so. I don’t care for likes or being called a cosplayer I just want to chat with cool people who are doing what they love.
This year at RPC I was wearing my demon hunter and almost collapsed since I had to wait for 2,5 hours straight until the cosplay contest started.
It was super hot and there were no drinking or sitting possibilities.
Just love people who do their thing and don’t care about what others say. But I recommend you interview Shadow Border Cosplay next since he is my soul mate
I won best female cosplay at Epiccon 2016
Piece of Advice
Just start and try out what works best for you. Of course, you can get loads of information on YouTube etc.
Don’t put too much pressure on you! You should enjoy what you are doing and have fun because that’s what its all about.
Actually, I am on a cosplay break, for now, not sure how long it is going to last.
Once again thank you, Ms. Laura, for making this interview. It’s a great pleasure to feature someone professional like you. Even if you started in 2015, there’s so much amelioration on your works.
People will surely be more inspired by your story, and you’re right about having fun. Indeed Cosplay is all about enjoying one’s performances and presentation to the public.
Hopefully, you’ll be back in the Cosplay business, We can’t wait to see your future projects especially your WOW costumes!
