World of Warcraft Cosplayer Sia, France
Bahamut Cosplay, Sia
The second to welcome us the Fall season will be one of the greatest World of Warcraft cosplayers who has always been outstanding in her field. a magnificent french cosplayer from the south of France, Montpellier.
I’ve met her personally in MadeInAsia convention this year, she was with her beautiful “Mercy” cosplay attire, I was embedded with her finesse and style of cosplaying. Viewing her profile will make you blown away, for her activeness in different organizations and communities.
She is one of the ambassadors from CosplayMat, a shop where you can buy everything you need for cosplay. working with a growing organization called “Mate Me Up” who helps you to find a mate in games. She is an official cosplayer for Riot Games (The Worlds in 2015 and the LCS in 2017).
Sia is attending different conventions like Made in Asia in Belgium, Gamescom in Germany but mostly in France like Japan Expo and Paris Games Week.
Word of Warcraft Cosplayer
I discovered cosplay when I went to different Con near Paris, attended that convention every year. Surprised by the skills of all of the Cosplayers. I always thought that I would never be able to make something like that.
Back when I was 21 years old, I started making my own Cosplay costume. I didn’t want to do this alone, so a friend of mine came with me.
And that’s how it started!
First convention as a Cosplayer
The 1st convention was the biggest one in France, JapanExpo Paris. I was so stressed and terrified, as soon as someone asked me for a photo I felt so tiny near bigger cosplayers.
But that was an experience that changed me for life! The more I did conventions, the more I felt comfy and relax near cameras.
My first sewed costume was Ahri from League Of Legends. But I didn’t make it alone. My mom helps me a lot and she still helps me sometimes.
The part that I like the most is when I’m crafting a cosplay, but I did some like Leone from Akame Ga Kill, Inori from Guilty Crown, Akali crimson and Elise Victorious from League Of Legends.
But the cosplay costume I love the most for now DeathWing one, designed by Zach Fischer from Wolrd Of Warcraft. Because it has lots of armor and I also love my Kindred costume, also by Zach, it taught me to make some electronic things.
What does a Cosplayer mean to you?
Cosplay is an art and a way to meet people, because of it I’ve met some great people and a best friend thanks to it. It’s always a pleasure to see people that I love in conventions. But that’s also a way for me to being proud of myself. I’ve never trusted in myself, but when I see my community encouraging me it helps me a lot.

I don’t have kind of worst experience… Just a few things that people told me on social media when I started cosplay like “OMG is that a girl?!”. But I didn’t stop cosplaying because of people like this.
Cosplayers you look up to
I get to know other cosplayers, friends now thanks to conventions and because we were cosplaying characters from the same game! Like Italina Cosplay my duo! I’m always cosplaying with her, she taught me everything I know about cosplay when I was starting.
Your Greatest Achievement
My biggest achievement so far is when the company that manages the video game that I prefer, League of Legends, contacted me. One of my best experience thanks to them, I couldn’t imagine for a second being invited by riot games.
I was an official cosplayer for the World Championship in 2015 and LCS summer split 2017. I felt so lucky being invited, seeing the pro players near me, being part of the staff of Riot games. Such a great experience!
Advices would you give to new aspiring cosplayers
A brief of advice people that I can give to those who wanted to be a cosplay star is to not taking care of what people may think.
Do or make a cosplay that you love, even if you bought one and have fun! I often have some questions from newbies and I always do my best to help so if you have any questions, I’m been happy to help!
Where can we see you?
I’ll be at the PAGS as a jury the 23rd and 24th of September, with a stand so if you wanna talk with me come to say “hi!”
Did you enjoy reading her story? Isn’t it inspiring right? Thanks to Sia for her participation for this “Cosplayer Interview Series” It’s such a great honor for me to have her. Despite the busy schedules she did gave a little time for us, Let us support her in her social media accounts.
Lastly, I would like to personally thank all the supporters/fans of Bahamut Cosplay, I know most of you are French so “merci à votre soutien pour Sia” keep supporting her! and for you Sia, We will be looking forward to your future projects and works, wishing you all the best.
